• Be brief. Be brilliant. Be gone.

  • Who cares?

  • Compared to what? At what cost?

  • What’s in it for me?

  • Attack the problem, NOT the person.

These little reminders help me keep the focus on my audience — and squash the tendency to talk AT people rather than TO them.

Words hold enormous power — and opportunity!

I have always had a knack for communicating and connecting with people. After decades of applying these skills as a journalist, blogger, corporate communication professional, and PR expert, I want to share some of my lessons learned.  There is no point in sending a message or giving a presentation if your audience isn’t paying attention.

You have to be BOTH engaging and informative.

Send me an email if you have questions. Sign up for my newsletter. Or, chat with me on LinkedIn. I’m always delighted to have a conversation!

About Me:

Hi, I’m Karen! I’m obsessed with words, communication tactics, and cats. When I’m not writing or working, you will find me watching movies with my family, baking, running, reading, or socializing. (Oh, and giving lots of ear scratches and food to my two cats, Tim and Mac!)
